Yachts Departure
The objective of this section of website is to help the yachts departing the Fiji Islands with Customs requirements.
Advance Notice of Departure
It is recommended that a 24 hour notice of departure be made to Customs with the following details:
- details of the vessel.
- estimated time and date of departure.
- customs port where the vessel will depart.
- details of crew and passengers on board.
- next port of call.
Completing the yachts outward report forms (yachts report outwards).

You must also notify the Ministry of Agriculture and Quarantine at the first port of departure.
Immigration Requirements
The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority will provide immigration services on departure in the Fiji Islands .

Firearms and Weapons
All firearms must be declared to the customs officer on departure of the vessel from Fiji . Firearms onboard will be detained and placed for safekeeping by the Fiji Police who will hold them until the vessel's departure. Collection times for arms should be arranged with Police at least 48hrs before departure time. Reporting to a Port of Entry
All yachts, crafts departing Fiji must first report to a Customs port of entry.
You will be met with officials from Customs.
The following documents must be presented to Customs:
- Outward report (including 2 copies of crew and passengers lists).
- Completed Passenger departure card.
- Valid passport.
- Clearance for the next port.
Permits to Cruise Fiji Waters
You are to depart immediately once Customs clearance has been issued. It is a breach of immigration laws should you be found without legitimate reasons loitering in Fiji waters.
You are also required to obtain permits from Ministry of Fijian Affairs to visit other smaller islands in Lau groups, Yasawas and Mamanuca group.
