Commercial vessels include Fishing, Cargo, Oil/Gas Tankers, Naval and Research vessels. Reporting The master or agents of any foreign inbound commercial vessel is required to report to Customs its intending arrival within 48 hours before arrival through the Advance Notice of Arrival Form and sent to any Customs port or emailed to commshipsreport@frca.org.fj. Masters of foreign vessels may require the use of shipping agents to facilitate the clearance of vessels. Ports of entry The following are the approved customs sea port of entry:

Boarding procedures All foreign inbound commercial vessels are subject to boarding and search by Customs, Agriculture Quarantine and Health officials. Minimum Size of Vessels The Comptroller may order that no goods or class of goods shall be imported into or exported from the Fiji in any ship or class of ships of less than 100 tonnes net tonnage. (Section 21 of Customs Act) Ship stores Commercial vessels with gross tonnage exceeding 100 tons are eligible to apply for ship stores to Customs. Inward cargo report The master or agent of the foreign inbound vessel is required to submit the inward cargo report if necessary within 24 hours of arrival. Other places of reporting other than the approved port of entry: Customs may in any particular case, permit any other place to be used temporarily as a place of unloading and loading, boarding stations and place for landing and embarkation of person.
