Corporate Services
The Corporate Services Division performs the following functions of the Authority:

- coordinating in-house, external and overseas training.
- facilitating staff's training needs.
- compiling staff's applications for further training, for submission to the Training & Development Committee.
- secretariat to the Training & Development Committee, which includes the responsibility of preparing papers for discussion and research required by the Committee.
- publicise ‘Expressions of Interest' for external and overseas training.

- provide support services to the executive team.
- facilitate organisational improvements, strategic development and sustainability.

- maintain and manage all FIRCA's records.
- update archives of pre-2000 records.
- register closed audit cases on TRIM system.
- capture corporate and function records on TRIM system.
- register and manage Hotel Turnover Tax (HTT) records.

- represents FIRCA to various trade negotiations and forum meetings with private and public sectors.
- represents FIRCA in the National Trade Development Committee, providing technical advice on Tariff, Harmonised System, Valuation and Rules of Origin (ROO).
- works closely with international trade organisations like the World Trade Authority (WTO), World Customs Authority (WCO), Forum Secretariat, Oceania Customs Authority (OCO) and RILO.
- assists in amendments made to the publications and books of the World Customs Organisation (WCO).
- examine goods that are exported under preferential agreements so they meet certain requirements and conditions.
- verifies and signs documents for goods exported under the preferential trade agreements.
- provides secretariat and support services to the Board and Board subcommittees, which includes minutes recording, maintenance and distribution, and compilation and circulation of minute agenda and papers. Furthermore, liaise with management on implementation of Board decisions.
- plan and arrange any functions, meetings or events for the chairman or the entire Board as required.
- coordinate and oversee the director induction programme and rolling professional development program for each director.
- faciliate FIRCA's corporate governance processes.
- prepare policy papers when required.
